Drawing & Painting on Location - Physic Garden

Course Description:

Come along and enjoy 3 mornings of painting and drawing in the beautiful surroundings of the Physic Garden in Cowbridge.

Learn new techniques, approaches and gain confidence painting and drawing out of doors.

Develop your own creativity through any medium you may wish to explore and perhaps try some new ones.

Materials required:

Bring along any medium you wish to have a go at. You can sketch with watercolour and pen, paint with acrylic or gouache or pastel, it is up to you.

Either bring a sketch book or a board and paper or a canvas. An easel may be useful and a chair.

About the Tutor: Sarah Davies

Since completing my degree course at Bristol College of Art in 1990 where I studied Graphic Design, I’ve painted, exhibited and sold work in galleries and open exhibitions throughout Wales.

For the past 18 years I have taught Mixed Media and Print here at Vale Courses.

Teaching mixed media has allowed me to further explore my love of different mediums and to find some exciting new ones, while hopefully encouraging and inspiring others to explore their own creativity.

The main inspiration for my own work continues to be a fascination with the constantly changing colours and patterns of the British Isles.

Minimum Age: Please note that you must be aged 16 or over to enrol on this course.
