Portraiture with Artist Heather Simmonds

There has been a fascination among artists for representing others since time immemorial, as the human head and face are compelling subjects.

With this in mind, the session will provide an opportunity for learners to draw from a model. You will learn how to observe carefully, using a variety of different materials to help you develop your own personal style. Our experienced tutor, Heather, will guide you with help and encouragement.

The course is open to everyone, at every level, from the inexperienced to the experienced.

What do I need to bring?

Bring paper, either loose as a sheet, or a sketch book. However there is good cartridge paper available at a small cost in the centre. You may like to bring along charcoal, pencils or anything else you would like to try out.

£7.50 for model, to be paid on the day (cash to tutor).

Minimum Age: Please note that you must be aged 16 or over to enrol on this course.
