Perfect for families, this friendly and confidence-building workshop is designed for complete beginners and anyone who thinks they "can't draw", using simple guided activities to explore drawing and painting techniques with all materials provided.

Get arty together at our fun-filled family workshop! Designed for children aged 9–13 years and their grown-up, this hands-on session is a great opportunity to get creative, learn new skills, and make something special to take home. Enjoy quality time together in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with plenty of creativity, laughter, and family fun.

Cost: £9 per child, £3 per parent/carer
Age guidance: 9–13 years.

Places are limited to 8 children, so early booking is recommended. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

About the Tutor: Sarah Davies

Since completing my degree course at Bristol College of Art in 1990 where I studied Graphic Design, I’ve painted, exhibited and sold work in galleries and open exhibitions throughout Wales.

For the past 16 years I have taught Mixed Media and Print here at Vale Courses.

Teaching mixed media has allowed me to further explore my love of different mediums and to find some exciting new ones, while hopefully encouraging and inspiring others to explore there own creativity.

The main inspiration for my own work continues to be a fascination with the constantly changing colours and patterns of the British Isles.
